What's new

What shipped, and when. The log starts at the NHL 27 changeover in September 2026 — everything before that was a different game's data.

EA outages that weren't

Fixed
  • EA's API looked down for seven hours. It wasn't — the bot's own HTTP/2 connection had gone stale and was never being retired. Games stopped posting for an afternoon; they were all picked up once the connection handling was fixed.

The week editor's Notes button

Fixed
  • The Notes button on the week editor never responded. It does now.

Automatic MVP

New
  • Every game now names an MVP from its star points, and goalies are eligible — a shutout can win it outright.

Season status, and the league-night flag

New
  • A Season status button on the availability panel: where the club is in its campaign, without leaving the channel.
  • Two bugs in the league-night flag — one in the data, one in the interface — meant some games were filed under the wrong week. Both fixed, and the affected games were re-filed.

The Stats card opens to everyone

New
  • The Stats face of the player card is now available on every server, not just the ones it launched on. Run /playercard and flip to it.

More than one lineup a night

New
  • A night can hold several lineups. Back-to-backs and split sessions no longer overwrite each other.
  • Private games are no longer locked behind a separate setting.

/versus bff

New
  • /versus bff — the teammates you actually win with. The inverse of /versus nemesis, and it finds the names for you.
  • A night's pulse can be skipped when the team already knows it's playing.

/leaderboard streaks

New
  • Every streak record on one board, with where you sit on each of them.

NHL 27 launch day

New
  • Adopting a club on the new game is a single gesture — no re-entering ids, no re-linking players.
  • Head-to-head records now span both games. Your record against somebody doesn't reset because EA shipped a sequel.
  • The player rating had a measurable bias against defencemen. It was measured, and corrected.

Availability 2.0

New
  • The whole weekly flow, rebuilt around one persistent panel per team: the night pulse, the sign-up posts, the lineup editor, publishing, and the assignment that survives a restart.
  • Help buttons on both management panels, so nobody has to remember what a button does.

NHL 27 era in production

Changed
  • EA's API switched to NHL 27 ahead of the game's release. The bot flipped with it, and NHL 26 history was kept rather than thrown away.

Card navigation, and nightly backups

New
  • The player card moved to a select menu instead of a row of buttons — it stopped running out of room as faces were added.
  • A nightly backup of everything the bot stores, verified, kept for two weeks.
